Wit Riot is a love letter to stand-up comedy. A craft that takes years of hone, incredible guts, and sometimes, a mind of madness.

Comedians have always been entertainers but they are more than that. They are the truth-tellers. The light shining on society that makes us laugh at the things that others would like to tell you is taboo. The mirror to our hypocrisy. They are our last line of defense when it comes to freedom of speech.

Increasingly, comedians have come under fire by those who claim they are offended by comedic material. Or, more often the case, they are offended for somebody else. Rather than just leaving, they will then try to silence, intimidate, and shut down the comedian’s ability to earn a living. This is unacceptable. If you don’t like it, here’s a suggestion for you. GTFO! It is not for you. You don’t have to ruin everyone else's fun.

That is why, at Wit Riot, comedy comes first. On our platform, comedians will never have to fear backlash from a woke mob. We understand comedy. And when the intent is making people laugh, not harming others, that’s comedy. Straight up. We all need more laughter in our lives. We cannot let the Debbie Downers and Crazy Karens dictate what the rest of us would like to experience for our entertainment.
